Hi, I'm Mendy Black, founder of MEB Events, lover of color-coded calendars, and the go-to person in every friend group for planning unforgettable experiences.

From Neuroscience to Event Management

My journey into events didn't start in a ballroom. It started in a neuroscience lab. With a degree in biology and six years in research, I understood how the human mind works, but I was drawn to bringing people together through live experiences.

That passion found its home at Fantastic Fest in 2014, where I moved from volunteer to Guest Services Director, managing VIPs and complex festival logistics. I took the leap to turn my passion into a full-time career.

A Decade of Global Experience

Over the past decade, I've led event strategy across the US, UK, and Europe for brands like BBC Maestro, MasterClass, Insights, and Wiley. From sold-out SXSW sessions to multi-day festival productions, I've built programs that don't just run smoothly, they drive measurable results.
